CORY LEE

USA | FUNCTIONAL APPAREL DESIGN

From about a year ago, I knew deep down inside that being a designer is who I wanted to be. I was a business owner in the food industry at the time, and there was no visible path as to how I would achieve this dream. Thanks to PENSOLE, earlier this year I was accepted to my first class in Brooklyn, which technically I failed. But I got a taste of what I wanted and I knew I could work to get it. It was that failure that motivated me, that made me want to succeed even more. From creating fusion cuisine, to becoming a creative, here is my story.

JAMES LI

CHINA, TAIWAN | FUNCTIONAL APPAREL DESIGN

It is a real pleasure to be here, and this is my very first time to do a complex designed apparel project like this. I still couldn’t believe it when I finished it, even though my life motto is “do not limit myself for any posibility.” Appreciate the WSC team again and Boston I am coming!

JEAN-FRANCOIS GAGET

CANADA | FOOTWEAR DESIGN

French designer based in Montreal since 2012. As a young boy, I developed a really strong attraction to drawing and shoes, I am a sneaker addict and quite good collector since then. Growing up, those passions took a big part of my life: I have studied and worked in various creative and passionate areas such as industrial design, architecture, fashion or gaming. I love to find new original ideas, mix them with all my inspirations from things around me. I do care about finding some nice imaginative products in my drawing as much as something attractive with good features and ethical matters. Do not hesitate to have a look on my instagram account: @darufaz, and let me your comment, all appreciation or advice are important to me!
